So yesterday I was driving my car to the dyno, on the journey I started getting an occasional stutter, then sometimes it would die when dropping to idle. By the time I got there it sounded like it was running on 3 cylinders and was smoking.
After much diagnosing it seems injector #1 was dumping in too much fuel.
We tested all the injectors, no problem.
Tested the spark at cylinder 1, no problem.
Checked continuity from injector to ecu, seems OK.
It's a jdm dc5 ecu with Hondata v2.
Could this be an ecu issue?
Injector #1 flooding engine
Re: Injector #1 flooding engine
Have you tried the ECU on a different vehicle to see if the issue follows the ECU?
Re: Injector #1 flooding engine
Thanks for the reply.
I found the issue.
The wiring harness got damaged and was shorting 12v to the head sending voltage through various sensors and confusing the hell out of the ecu.
