Turbo K24 eg
Kpro v4
I am having an issue where only when the car warms up it starts surging. I don't believe I have any leaks because it would already start surging when cold. I was told elsewhere that my IGN degree isn't suppose to read -1/0 at idle but when I hold it at a certain rpm it would go up to 40 and stay. I need help with this issue car was fine before I did a head gasket on it. The data log was me bleeding the system so that's why I held it at 3k rpm, tps @0 is when it's just idling. It starts surging towards the end of the datalog.

Re: Idle Surge issue -1 IGN Degree
It sounds like there may still be some air in the cooling system and that will cause the idle to do this until it is fully bled.

I bled the system 2 time already but I will try again, I just thought of trying to jack it up. Thanks for the suggestion.Spunkster wrote: Thu Oct 24, 2024 9:34 am It sounds like there may still be some air in the cooling system and that will cause the idle to do this until it is fully bled.
Re: Idle Surge issue -1 IGN Degree
Your idle speed is 1000 rpm in the calibration but the actual idle speed is around 1100 rpm, so the ECU retards the ignition to try and meet the idle speed target.
You need to fix air leaks / idle value / bypass air so that the idle speed is less than the target and the ECU can control it.
