2002 rsx type s
Type s Ecu with kpro v4 (white board)
Recently had a problem develope after engine bay clean up and upgrades. For example an electric power steering. Tucked ac kit. Motor mounts. Intake.
Issue
During normal driving and light throttle (up to like 5k rpm) cars fine happy dandy. If I were to do a full WOT pull the car throws a check engine light, kpro Ecu has from what I can see a solid red led and basically cuts the car. Then shortly after back to normal driving. Seems to only ever happen during heavy wide open throttle pulls over 5k. Around that time the tech does start to bounce. (Plus or minus 1k. Rpm flutter). Doesn’t just shoot to zero like all data is lost.
Ive redone grounds.
Replaced crank sensor
Replaced cam sensors
Reloaded the tune
Getting to a point of I don’t even know anymore.
Thanks for looking and any help or ideas.
K-Pro Solid Red led and “Cut”
Re: K-Pro Solid Red led and “Cut”
Post the calibration and a datalog showing the issue.
Re: K-Pro Solid Red led and “Cut”
I’ll get my laptop charged tonight to try and get you one tomorrow. After work sometime.
Re: K-Pro Solid Red led and “Cut”
Here is the Tune and Data log. The one log where VSS completely dropped out was a first Also tune is not a dialed in tune Issue started happening before we could do a full tune on it. Logs also sent to Tuner to look over as well

Re: K-Pro Solid Red led and “Cut”
I guess I should also state the issue was happening throughout the datalogs randomly. Hard to datalog and lock exact pin point spot while being one person. So sorry if thats alot to look over.
Re: K-Pro Solid Red led and “Cut”
so don't think this s a hondata issue anymore. Looks like its leaning more towards a power issue. ELD, Alternator, or maybe grounding. Not to sure yet. Did a couple pulls today and what was made to be my last pull, the main relay decided to start chattering. Causes of relay chatter, Bad relay, lack of supply voltage, bad grounds. Looking through the logs i took of those pulls under sensors I can watch the BAT sesnor drop down to the 9v during the pull right where the issues begin to rise and show their face. So now its time to try and figure out what is causing my voltage to drop so low.
Re: K-Pro Solid Red led and “Cut”
Final post for this cause problem is solved. Loose Valve cover ground. It acted tight cause it was wedge into the powder coat of the cover. So poor ground connection. Tighten it and All problem are gone.
