I noticed the thread about XDI's 2000cc injectors and it triggered some questions I have about Hondata's 1530cc injectors that I have installed in my car (along with the HFS+ camshaft).
1. What is the minimum recommended injector duration for the Hondata 1530cc injectors?
2. I have seen some weird fuel trim issues at light loads and was beginning to think I possibly had some sort of vacuum leak but I have smoke tested the car with no leaks. When cruising at very light load (~1.0-1.2V MAF reading) the MAF sensor voltages jump around a lot and the fuel trims go crazy and it doesn't cruise smoothly. Should I be reducing the fuel pressure as is suggested with the XDI 2000cc injectors?

Re: Hondata 1530cc injectors
We don't have a recommended duration.
You can try it and see if it helps.

Re: Hondata 1530cc injectors
In addition to reducing the commanded DIFP, would there possibly be any benefit to disabling split injection?
Re: Hondata 1530cc injectors
I'll elaborate. They work the same as stock but with a higher flow. There are no compromises with the injectors.
1. Our injectors function down to the same injector duration as stock. No change is necessary.
2. You don't need to decrease fuel pressure.
If you see fuel trims at light load then 99% chance it is the AFM reading from your intake. 1% chance it is a vacuum leak. Post the calibration and a datalog.
As for split injection it does not matter if you leave it enabled or not.

Re: Hondata 1530cc injectors
UPDATE: after checking around, I found a crack in an evap purge hose and I think that may have caused the issue with the MAF sensor voltage. It didn't show up during the smoke test because this cracked hose was behind both of the one-way/non-return valves in the evap circuit so there was no path for the smoke to reach it unless I inserted the smoke from the evap canister side and I didn't do that.jeffx wrote: Wed Sep 11, 2024 3:39 pm I noticed the thread about XDI's 2000cc injectors and it triggered some questions I have about Hondata's 1530cc injectors that I have installed in my car (along with the HFS+ camshaft).

I was pretty sure this wasn't an issue with the AFM sensor table because I have been driving for several thousand miles on these injectors and the same AFM table with no wonky fuel trim issues until recently.
Re: Hondata 1530cc injectors
Thank you for the update.
