KPRO V4 ECU not detecting the ignitions on

I have a 1999 Honda Civic ej9 with a swapped K20A2 from the UKDM Honda Civic EP3 Type R.

I'm using the 99-00 hybrid racing conversion harness and all the wiring from the stock A connector seems to be properly matched and secured to the hybrid racing E connector however I'm not getting any changes when I turn the ignition on. The handbrake, SRS, oil, battery lights, etc will show up when the ignition is on but K manager says the ignition is off. Does anyone know why Kpro won't recognise the ignition, without the ignition marked as on I can't upload the base map.

You should try the ECU on a known working vehicle and see if it works as it should. This will help you determine if the ECU or the vehicle is the problem.

Thanks for the reply, I've not got any vehicles I can test the ecu on. Where the USB port is there's sometimes a green or red light that appears for a second and then it won't come back on. Could this be a sign that there's a fault with the ecu?

What is the serial number that is on the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

There are warranty stickers so I wouldn't want to damage it in case I have a faulted ECU. If it helps I bought this ECU recently off a company called tegiwa that's based in the UK.

You will need to get the serial number that is on the circuit board inside the ECU, or you will have to discuss the issues with who sold it to you.

Hi,

I got confirmation to open the ECU, the serial number is 67131, I’ll also attach a picture of the ecu.

Just an update, I've got the engine to crank by joining the ground and park wire from my automatic shifter wiring which placed the car in park, letting me send power to the starter motor. However, kpro still isn't detecting when the ignition is on so my fuel pump isn't activating.

It looks like this was sold to CPL Racing as an install kit. You will have to send it to them to be checked out to make sure that there is no installation issue.

I bought this off tegiwa and have been installing it myself, do I have to contact CPL racing even though I'm the one who's installing the ecu?

So the K-Pro was not installed in the ECU?

Yes the kpro came already installed however I did not buy it of CPL racing

It was sold to them as an install kit so they will need to look at it.

After speaking with CPL there wasn’t much that was done, after explaining the situation it was just Labeled as a wiring issue. Do you have any suggestions as to what it could be, I’ve tested the main relay which works fine however the fuel pump won’t get any power since the ecu isn’t detecting the ignition despite the black/yellow ignition wire on the E connector having 12v running through it. I’ve seen other people have similar problems, is there any solution to this?

Did you send it to them to test?
