Problem with car. Could be Kpro related?
Problem with car. Could be Kpro related?
Well I haven't gotten my issue resolved on clubrsx so I figured this would be the place to go. Here is a link to the thread I started about the problem. The last page is probably the only relevant info.

Thanks in advance for the help. Let me know if you think this isn't hondata related. It could be supercharger or injector or fuel pump related.

Okay. I will try to make this as accurate and thorough as I can. For some reason I have a bump/ rev limiter type feeling when I take the car above 8000 rpm's. I guess I should tell you what all I have done. Well here it goes: I have the JRSC, Hondata Kpro and 550 cc injectors. I am running a 9 PSI(actually 10) upgrade pulley on the blower. I have an Apexi N-one cat back, and stock header and cat. I was running the 550cc 9PSI cal on the kpro. I then tried out the 650cc 10 PSI cal and it seemed much smoother after I adjusted the fuel. After a little while I noticed the belt was slipping when I did a datalog. So I tightened the belt up. After I did that, I experienced this wierd type of feeling at high rpm's. Kind of like a softer rev limiter type feeling. Not as harsh. So I thought it could be the boost cut. So I turned the boost cut off as per directions by Conrad. It still did it. SO then I did a datalog and found that I was going really lean at the time this bump occured. So I added a bunch of fuel, like 15 % and it didn't help. Thinking it was the cal I was using I switched back to the 550 cc cal. It still did it. Also funny thing is, I don't lose boost during this time. It stays at around 10.1-10.2 psi. Then I looked into a fuel filter and found that we have a maintenance free filter. So I wondered if it could be the pump or injectors? IS there anyway to check either of these? Oh and by the way, If I take the car slowly to 8800 rpm's I don't have this bump. It is only when I hit about 3/4 throttle and more. If you need any datalogs they are in the link above. The cal is also. Once agian Thanks for the help and let me know if you need any other info to determine the problem.
P.S.- I just noticed this is in the wrong forum. It chould be with Kpro I guess. SOrry.

Did you try anything with the timing (along with the fuel)?jsfwds2k wrote:Okay. I will try to make this as accurate and thorough as I can. This sounds just like the bump we had in the earlier version of the S200 so
ftware. Anyone else report this Doug?
I haven't tried anything with timing because I haven't had any knocks on my datalogs.turbosi92 wrote:Did you try anything with the timing (along with the fuel)?jsfwds2k wrote:Okay. Well I don't know why it would be off. It only seems to do it if I go over 9.5 PSI. If I don't have the belt tight or if I take it slowly it won't do it. Another thing is that this happens in the 650cc 10 PSI base map and the 550 cc 9 PSI base map. I don't know. I am lost. I guess I should take it to a mechanic and see what he says.turbosi92 wrote:You would need to add timing not take it away. Just a thought.

All of this is happening on a basemap? Or a fully tuned map?jsfwds2k wrote:Well I don't know why it would be off. It only seems to do it if I go over 9.5 PSI. It is a K20A2. Sorry I should have mentioned that. I also have some datalogs of it doing this. What would make it do this when I am only about 75% throttle or more? If I just go throught the gears slowly and take it all the way up to 8800 then it doesn't do it. The datalogs are posted in the link above along with calibrations.
