hello, what is recommended way to switch from 87 to 93 while taking fuel pump health in consideration? In the context of preparing stock civic with 87 octane for 93 octane tune/flash. Don't have any tools to drain my fuel tank or tools to check fuel's octane rating, friend of mine told me to half fill 87 half 93, drive until half tank then fill rest 93 and I'd be good to flash at that point. Any detailed suggestions on this, my google inquiries were unfruitful? Currently got 4 gallons 87 octane in the tank including the reserves non displayed fuel, can i just fill 93 and use octane booster to get the octane rating close to 93? thanks.
car : 2024 civic ex, fuel tank capacity : 12.9, ecu tuner flashrpo

Re: regular to premium fuel transition 87 to 93 octane question
Just fuel up with 93. There is nothing special that has to be done. The octane maybe a little lower due to the 87. On your next fill up you should be fine once the 87 has been fully drained.
The issue arises when you go from 93 to 87 as 93 can run more timing and you are likely to experience knock moving to 87.
