Help with stock 8th gen K20z3 map and knock counts

Post by the lord of calm »

Hello! Looking for some help!

My car is stock, only has an HFP axleback. It has been running a tuned stock map for many years from an e-tuner that no longer provides tuning services so I can no longer get any support from him for the map provided. Car is running great, have no drivability issues or CEL's, but did some datalogs recently and I noticed that the car registering knock counts consistently around 5300-5800 rpm. Can someone take a look and help me out? I attached the tune the car is running on and some datalogs (WOT & traffic driving).

Thanks in advance!

If you have been running the tune with no issues it's possible it's an outside issue. Did you pump a different kind of fuel? Is there anything loose in the engine bay or on the exhaust?

I appreciate the feedback. No change in anything, car was tuned for 91oct and that is what I run. As far as I can tell there isnt anything loose and there arent any odd noises from the engine bay or exhaust. I live in a dry area so rust isn't an issue.

I never bothered to look at the tune or logs because I didn't have to. I went on the word of the tuner that everything was good.

I am wanting to go full I/H/E at this time so I began reviewing the tune and the datalogs in which I noticed the knock counts and came here to gain some knowledge and help.
