Hondata PCB getting hot/ short to ground

Post by Joshkane1387 »

Made this topic to clean up my other post considering I made a mistake and posted to the same topic twice, anyways. 08 sedan si, overheating (but verified functional) fp unit lead me to test for a short to ground. Tested resistance from the intake manifold to a random fuse in my underhood box and what do you know?, 60ohms. Started pulling fuses and every fuse inside the underhood box has char marks on the legs and one of the fuses for the fuel system popped. Further investigation lead me to seeing this issue is only present with ignition on. Pulled the connector from the ignition switch and found that I'm reading that 60ohm short through my accessory power wire which would run to my interior box. Has anyone else had this issue? Am I delusional and 60ohms is entirely normal? I have a hard time believing a number as weird as 60ohms is oem. If I am not crazy and have somehow stumbled my way towards finding my issue, any advice? None of my family or friends are as much of a nerd as I am so I am begging the nerds of the internet to lend a hand. Battery, ecu nor engine harness are in the car at this point, I've bench tested my harness using a pinout manual I got from a buddy at the dealership and have used the ecu to start my base model.
