K24/K20 Frank DC 2.2 Cams Lean after new exhaust
K24/K20 Frank DC 2.2 Cams Lean after new exhaust
I will add my logs and Cal. I bought the car with the Frank swap and for whatever reason the guy left the stock exhaust on it. It dyno'd at 230/187 so definitely some power left to tap. I swapped on a PRL V2 and full race exhaust and I can see in the logs it's running a little lean. I did lower the rev limit to 8K from 8600 but otherwise this is the tune that came on the car. I'm curious if this is as simple as adding more fuel to compensate for the opened up exhaust or if I should get a complete retune.

I should have also mentioned, driving this car at low speeds through parking lots or into my neighborhood is brutal. Car bucks and jerks like crazy. Pretty sure that can be fixed in the tune as well.

Looking a little better up top. Added 10% from 6k-8k. I have no clue what I'm doing just figuring it out on the fly lol.

Here is my build list, the only thing not mentioned is all new timing gear.

Anyone have any feedback for me?

I've been watching a ton of youtube videos and reading like crazy and went back to the original cal with some changes that definitely improve how the car drives. Low speed driving is way better and shifting through the gears is so much smoother. I reverted all the changes I made to the fuel tables. I'll leave the the tuning to my tuner but this works until he can get me squared.

Getting a little disappointed with this whole process. Not what I expected from this setup. Hoping to see some improvement in the next cal or I may just take it and have it tuned on the dyno. When we started the tuning process I asked for the rev limit to be set at 8k and it just keeps going up lol. That cal it was at 8800 and that's way higher than I care to rev the car.
