So I am wiring up 3 AEM wideband gauges into my 97 Honda Prelude Type SH, I am also installing the hondata s300 ecu into the car as well as I installed some mods too aggressive for a stock tune, anyways I am trying to wire up the 3 gauges in closed loop so they can act as my sensors as well if I recall it working like that. I made a mockup on a whiteboard of how it would best be done with information I found online and in previous forum discussions, I just want to attach a photo and see if my math checks out with others who are hopefully more experienced in this than I am. If it matters the gauges are the X series AFR, Water Temp, and Oil Pressure gauges. I was also wondering if I use the A26 pin for the Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge, then would I use the same wire for the other two or would I be better off making a sort of junction off that pin to then connect the three gauges to?

You can run closed loop form the wideband but there is not closed loop operation from the other sensors. I do not know if the other sensors have presets available in the software.

So the wideband would be fine connecting to the A26 port? Also I swore I remembered there being other sensor presets in the software but I can't find it again

A26 is a logic ground.

I see, upon further research I assume that the D10 pin would be best for the wideband, correct? Then I'll just use the analog wires for the water temp and oil pressure gauges right? I'm still confused about the signal ground, would it go to the analog ground on the hondata or would it go to the ecu ground on the thermostat housing?

That is correct. A26 can be used as the ground for the analog inputs.

Perfect, that clears up a lot. I'm still a little lost as to where I'd ground the wideband then, I saw in a video someone said the wideband needs to have the same ground as the hondata in order to show accurate readings but I'm not sure how truthful that statement is or where the ecu ground even is. Unless it's just the one that's bolted to the thermostat housing.

A good chassis ground or the thermostat housing should work.

Sorry but one more thing I haven't had much luck finding anywhere else online. The kits I am using for the Oil Pressure and Water Temp gauges require me to replace the stock sensors and disconnect the wire harness from them as well of course. Would that make things such as the stock temperature needle and the oil light not work properly if at all? I was hoping to keep those functional if I could but if I HAVE to run without them I can live with that since I'll have the gauges now of course.

You should not remove or disconnect those.

I see, is there a way I can go about installing the gauges without messing any of it up that I'm not aware of? AEM doesn't have anything nor can I find anything online about installing these gauges and how they affect the stock gauges or sensors.

oil pressure and water temp will only be able to be seen in the Software as analog inputs and cannot be used to replace any OEM sensors.

I see, so how should I wire up the gauges to get the information without messing with the oem sensors? Just splice the signal and ground wires?

Are you trying to get OEM gauges to use aftermarket sensors?
