Upgrade 1450cc Injectors in FK8

Post by FVIII_CTR »

Hello,

I have a 19 FK8 and having fuel pressure issue. I started with the LPFP as a starter, but that didnt fix the issue. I'm getting P0202 and P0302 code and I have switched around the spark plug and coil around and the code is consistent with Cylinder 2. I've check the coil plug and no sign of going bad. So my next step is to check the injectors harness and the injector itself. I'm still on oem injectors, but I wanted to see if i could run 1450cc injectors since its the same price as a new set of oem injectors. so if i purchase the 1450cc injectors and have the tuner adjust the fuel system command i could possibly get away with it until I can upgrade my HPFP?

My current mods:
27won Kuro Turbo
TSP Catted DP
PRL Front Pipe
PRL Flex fuel
PRL Turbo inlet Pipe
PRL Race Maf Intake
27won Intercooler
GReddy DDR Exhaust
Radium Oil Catch Can

I recommend that you send your injectors out to RC Engineering to have them tested and cleaned and see if that can resolve the issue first.

I went ahead and bought the 1450cc Injectors and XDI HPFP, and a basemap. Once everything was installed I turned on the car and the issue was still there. The code I'm getting is P0202 Injector Circuit Malfunction (Cylinder 2). I took the car to the reputable shop to diagnose everything and they didn't find anything. They checked injector harness, coil harness and the ecu. They even did a voltage test and continuity test on the injector and ecu and found nothing wrong. They believe maybe the ECU is going bad and symptom is inconsistent. The original ecu that came with my car was locked so I had to buy a used ecu and thats the current ecu im using now. I requested a form from hondata so i can send my original ecu out to be unlocked. Do i have to unmarry my flashpro and flash back to oem map before i send my flashpro out? Thanks

IF you return the original ECU to stock and unlock it you should not have to send anything in.
