S2000 (UK) Knock Ignition Limit table vs actual ign

Post by futureal33 »

Hi all,

Just after a bit of help if anyone would mind

I am trying to get the ignition under VTEC (6000+) on my AP1 (UK) S2000 FC0c a nice flat line. I understand this may not be the best for power - but for now, all I am trying to do is to get the values to follow those from my Ignition High table.... which they currently are not doing.

I understand the theory behind the knock ignition limit high table - how it can add/subtract those values if no knock is detected - but it isnt working how I expected.

On the S2000, the knock control is ALWAYS 55% unless it actually knocks, then this value will increase.
My master ign table is a flat 24 degrees from 6000-9000rpm in columns 9 & 10 WOT.

Am I right in thinking that if I set my knock ignition table values to +4, then my final timing should be 24degrees + 4 divided by 55% knock control = 26degrees actual timing? This is how I understand it... but in the real world, my ignition values are fluctuating between 21 and 23 degrees, and I just dont understand why / where those values are coming from!
Thanks for any help
