Unfortunately I’m back with a previous issue. I have an 06 Rsx with a k24A jdm engine, stock 310cc injectors, unopened engine, rbc, skunk 2 TB with all the stock sensors, stock header and cat currently running on the stock k24 91 base map.
The issue is that the ecu is just not firing the injectors. It will fire them for what seems to be a second (it sounds like it’s starting up) but then dies immediately after “starting”. I first had this issue October of last year. I ended up sending it to HAMotorsports for testing but they didn’t find anything wrong with it after testing but they swapped out the main ecu for another one. It had been running ok since then until a few weeks back when sitting at idle it suddenly dropped to 500 rpm but then fixed itself back.
Today I was parked outside but when I started it, it idled for a few seconds then died. I tried restarting it and it would just “start” for a second then die. I plugged in my stock ecu and was able to drive home so I doubt it would be a wiring issue.
I think it’s related to whatever controls the injectors because when I first had the issue I sprayed carb cleaner into the intake and it fired up like normal which tells me it wasn’t getting fuel. It has 40+ psi when the key is on and fuel pump is working fine.
What could be making this part go bad, injector drivers? I’ll test the ecu by seeing if it starts with the ecu being cool and with it being warmed up. Previously I had let the ecu warm up on my dash and it did the same thing. HAmotorsports was not able to recreate the issue.
Kpro v4 Not Firing Injectors
Re: Kpro v4 Not Firing Injectors
Have you tried your ECU on a different vehicle to see if it starts and runs that ok?

Unfortunately I don’t have another car to test it on. I’ll probably send it to hondata this time after doing some more testing.
