Hi guys I just got my hondata today, My car is stock and only have n1 invidia catback. I’ve been trying to fix my exhaust sputter/pop since I got the car and now I finally bought hondata.
This is my car backstory since I got it:
Hi there my car is 2014 honda civic SI, I bought it with skunk2 exhaust, CAI and n1 catback exhaust. I put the stock air intake back, put a catalytic converter and leave the n1 catback. I changed the spark plugs twice, first I bought a autolite spark plugs from canadian tire and read the forum that its bad so I went to Honda dealer and bought a NGK spark plugs but the backfire still there. The only thing that left on to my to-do list is new fuel injector and o2 sensor. I did valve adjustment myself with valve clearance of intake(0.09) and exhaust(0.011).
Theres one time I drove my car hard on highway it was pulling good but when I exit highway and ready to make my turn all the lights came on, VSA,steering and emission and wont pass 3k rpm. went to stop and read the code it was p0302 misfire cylinder#2. I cleared the code and not thinking to leave it till i figured it out. Start the car again and it runs good but the backfire/sputter is still there. Im so stomped I dont know what to do anymore. Please help me as I financed this car with no warranty.
I did a compression test , result was 1(210) 2(210) 3(175) 4(210), Im leaning for a bent valve but im curious because my code was cylinder misfire #2 and not the cylinder with low compression than the other.
