s100 p72 H22 EG

Before :
p13-stock-no CEL.
All EGR Equipment-Connected and functioning.
Injectors Stock w/ resistor pack.
Idle and ran perfect.
Plugs-perfect color.

After :
p72-s100 w/base map- CEL 16(injectors) and 21(VTEC)
EGR Equipment-removed, Block off installed.
Injectors-Stock w/ resistor pack.
Rough idle and runs poorly.
Plugs- 2 have carbon build-up and 2 are fine.

Any suggestions?

Just tested to see how p13 would act in place of p72

Now:
p13-stock-EGR CEL (of course)
EGR Equipment-removed, Block off installed.
Injectors-Stock w/ resistor pack.
Idle and runs perfect.

Is this a US or JDM P72?

I am under the impression that the JDM p72 is almost perfectly square and the USDM is more rectangular, similar to p28, if my information is correct I have USDM p72 with part number: 37820-P72-A01

There could be a problem with the ECU you are using with the Hondata. Try borrowing someone's P28 and see if the same problems still exist.

Ok, ya i'll check that out.

I'll also try to find someone else with h22 and see if my p72 works for them.

With the p28, it should run as though it were a p13?

The fuel map will be sufficient?

Only differences will be vtec engagement and fuel cut off?

Odds are your Code 16 is from not disabling the Fuel Injector Check on the ROM. EDM/JDM ECUs don't have this option, so if you don't disable it, it will automatically throw a code.

It did not give me a code 16 right away, it came about about a little bit of driving.

You think that not disabling the fuel injector check on the rom could still possibly be the problem?

Would the Fuel Injector Check on the ROM be disabled on a hondata base map for h22a by default?

I am quite sure mine is a USDM ECU.

I just cut the j12 with no change.

It sounds more like a problem with wiring than the Rom. If it is a US ecu, then it shoudl end with A0x anything else may need the fuel injector error in the rom dissabled.

its the actual ecu.
i have it in my possession now, and removed the jumper to go back to the stock map and it still throws the code 16. initially when i put the hondata system into the ecu it wokred fine but my test drive was short (less than 5 minutes) and on a warm car jstu to verify vtec and rev limit.
of course it doesnt help that honda manuals state to replace teh ecu if you have an ecu sourced code 16.

if the test circuit was not disabled would disabling it correct the code 16 yet still allow the ecu to work properly?
