I have come down to 2 widebands, either the plx m300 with the optional gauge style output, or the aem gauge style wideband. The only thing I don't like about the m300 is that with the gauge you still need to put the "brain" somewhere, no big deal right, I have an 88 crx si with alot of other mods that have "brains" as well and I am fast running out of room.
I know the older aem uego had a calibrated 5v output and needs the buffer/ voltage divider circuit to interface properly with the hondata s200. but the newer gauge style has a "user programmable 5v output", so I need to know if this means that the new gauge style lets you turn down the max voltage so that you can interface with hondata by turning it to read the richest a/f at 3.8v ( or close to it).
does anyone have first hand experience with this? thanks
aem wideband gauge style
I am going to shoot my self if one more person asks a question like that.
It is a very simple formula: READ THE AEM WBO2 INSTRUCTION MANUAL.
You will find a VERY CLEAR GRAPH that shows the A/F vs. Voltage.
The instruction manual can be found at the AEM website forum.
If you can?t do that, let me answer your question: YES, the new AEM gauge style WBO2 will work with hondata.
What ever happened to the days when people researched?
BTW: I discovered the original 5V problem and I wrote the web pages for that Voltage divider trick?.. Take my word for it, the new gauge will work.

yeah I saw the voltage divider for the old style and its a nice setup, but as far as research, does emailing both aem and hondata directly and getting 2 different answers, asking on tamparacing.com, honda-tech.com, aem forums, before asking here count. no one would give me a straight answer, and not many had the gauge style to be able to speak from experience. but thanks for the help. I did not know that there was an instruction manual avail for download. thanks
