Ignition Maps

Post by HaileyLove »

Hey all. I am trying to figure out an issue. I have a really nice build i did myself and have it running. I have a/f dialed in but i cannot advance distributor anymore. The trouble i am having is when i hit throttle it hesitates. If i full throttle it, it wants to die. btw this is an h22 in a lude. and if it matters i have a td61u distributor. If anyone wants to me to upload my map let me know. list of basics, g25-660, skunk2 pro manifold and tb. bc valvetrain, id1050x injectors. I would really like to know how to manually adjust ignition maps. Do i increase or decrease values on ignition map. and i know map 2 is for vtec. Thanks

You should only adjust the timing maps when on the dyno so that you can measure the changes made and make sure it is safe.

It could be any number of things, especially since it does not sound like it has been professionally tuned.
