Where to start. New with tuning

Oh boy where do I start with this tune. 06 si with k&n typhoon intake. Currently using a map based race calibration because maf ones were going way lean at wot. I know race calibrations are outdated but its the only one where I didn't have to make fuel tables from scratch it seems.

Having lots of knock with a ton of k.retard. Found some spots where I can reduce the timing for the vtec ignition tables as well as some in the low ignition tables but I don't know if that would help with k.retard. Its running much healthier than stock or any maf calibrations ive tried but there is still a worrying amount of knock. I'm inexperienced with this so I wanted to know what routes there are to deal with the k.retard. I feel like a lot of areas need to be touched in this tune besides timing though. If any of yall have any reference calibrations for an intake like this that I could take a peak at that would be great too.

Edit: after some digging I found an afm calibration by EFICU that seems to butter every biscuit i had here. No knock or nothin thus far. Will be very educational to compare, already noticed how shite the timing and fueling was on the base map.

Glad you found a good basemap to learn from. EFICU is a great tuner. Feel free to post any question you may have.
