Datalog review/ new base map

Typing this currently at 12:00 am hoping I can get everything figured out on my ride back home from work. In but of a sticky situation lol, I’m on probation only from work and home. Wish I could just fire up the car and get a datalog. Was just wondering if I could have it checked and maybe a base map for the aftermarket parts I’m running. I have a skunk2 catback exaust with a skunk2 ... exhaust, as well as a short ram air intake but I slightly modified it. I will post the data log here in the morning. Thanks In advance!

Welcome to the forum,
Post the calibration you are running and a datalog. I can take a look at it.

Hey ed, i appreciate the fast reply and your time. My apologies i've been pretty busy at work. Some other things i thought i should mention to you is the amount of bog letting off the throttle, its kind hard to explain but i'm sure you get the gist of what im trying to say. Whatever the 4th gear timing is its perfect, as well as every other gear after that. 1-3 is pretty harsh, not to the point of a bad driving experience id just like it to be smooth.
I recently tweaked the reflash base map and didnt even make it out of my driveway before returning it back to normal lol. All i did was mess with the closed loops due to CEL because of my exhaust, (i closed both loops which i think messed everything up) rev limiter by 100 more rpm, redline recovery, and the throttle dampening or whatever by myself hoping to smooth out that "bog" feeling i feel when i let off the throttle in low gears. I cant remember the exact setting but it was in the ignition category. everything was at -100 I put the car in reverse and immediately felt how much the car was breaking up. Forget to mention the rpms also shot up to about 2500 and stayed there for a spilt second, this was maybe a 30 second tune on my ecu before flashing it back to the normal reflash basemap.
Sorry for the lengthy story i just want your thoughts on what might have caused this?
Down below is one of my drives to work as well as the calibration im using. I had some spirited driving moments but no WOT 1-3 or anything like that, not sure if you need it but i can also provide you on of those datalogs ASAP.
Thank you in advance!

Also, im not sure if the car has a cam or not. At idle the tachometer stays solid. Yet im viewing the datalog myself and it seems to be choppy in idle, that or its just breaking up. Car kinda sounds like it has a cam but its subtle. Bought it with some aftermarket things on it already. Kinda new to this and want to learn, a basemap would be awesome for now. Down the road do you think we can get me dialed in and ill pay you money? im not aloud over 80-85 with this tracking device on me lol, only have it for 2 more months. If i have to wait i will, but this car needs it. Ive been on this reflash for to long with the aftermarket parts, but then again youd know more than me, i need all in input you feel like giving. Again, thank you for your time

Deet,
The AFM needs to be dialed in and timing needs to be adjusted. We can definitely dial it in. I would need to see how fast these cars go when being tuned. You might need to wait. For now I can help make it run safe and in turn it should run better.

I adjusted the AFM and timing. Create another log on your way to work. I want to make sure the changes took effect. Don't drive the car too hard.

Hey ed, I understand your busy. but i got until about 5 pm to get 2 more datalogs for you, i can tell my probation officer i left my charger at work something, if you cant get back to me in that time frame no worries!
Car felt a little different, couldnt quite tell you what exactly was different but it felt better. Seems to still bog when i let off the accelerator in low gears though,
Here is my 2nd drive to work with your first basemap down below:
Thank you in advance!

From what i can gather reviewing the datalog myslef, it seems alot more smoothed out. You could hear it to, i didnt get on it at all. Whatever youre doing is working! i believe.. lol

Shouldnt this car with these modifications run on speed density? My air intake temps are pretty cold, i can see the ign still looks a little wonky. But the rmps in idle and driving seem pretty solid imo

Yes, anytime you change to an aftermarket intake you should switch over to a speed density tune. I’m helping to get it running safe. There is a lot more to adjust when running a speed density calibration as there are more tables to adjust.
The car will run fine with the AFM as long as you don’t drive the car hard.
I will look over the log when I’m back at my computer.

Did you switch it to speed density on the current reflash? and or could i pay you just to have that setup? sorry man i just want this car running how it should, with some beating on it included. I like driving hard, i feel like i was just messing it up riding around in that reflash. (i havent driven that hard on the basic reflash) The most i could do on this probation period is WOT 1-3 pulls and 3rd gear 2krpm-7.5krpm to see the powerband or whatnot since that doesnt exceed over 80mph. If not its fine, i thought just maybe paying you here and there or in full would get this dialed in the quickest, im in no rush though i understand your extremely busy. Thank you for your time!
If i were to go the full etune route the soonest ill have my brother get in contact with you and have him drive the car, if that needs to be the case.

I didn’t not swap it to speed density. Like i mentioned in my previous message. Running the AFM should be ok to normal drive drive the car. If you want a calibration file that’s already running in speed density I can take a look at it and adjust it as well.
