Recently I've had an issue with hitting a rev limiter. It happens randomly in the rpm range but usually between 5-7,000rpm. I've had the car where it doesn't hit the limiter so its a new issue. So far I've checked all my grounds and everything looks fine to me.

chassis>valvecover acorn nut
chassis>transmission
Chassis>starter bracket
wideband, engine harness/CPR harness grounds>thermostat housing

The only thing that makes it hit the rev limit more consistently is doing 40-90% throttle pulls but it could also be coincidence

Messed with the car some today and the cut/limiter is gone when I deactivate boost control. Just going to leave it like this for now because it makes 8-10psi with a 4lb spring. Engine is unopened h22A so I don’t need more boost or quick spool yet.

Is this also the update causing issues? Problem goes away with boost control deactivated. Seems to be random when it is activated and duty cycle at 0%

No one else has reported this issue. I have been using it on my boosted car without any issues.

Okay I’ll try it again. As long as it’s set to fixed duty cycle and my percentage is set to 0% none of the other boost tables will have an effect?

With a typical Mac 3 port is this true?

“With the boost control disabled, the solenoid will not be energized. With most solenoid configurations this will result in maximum boost. For this reason do not disable the boost control output nor disconnect the solenoid without changing the wastegate so that pressurized air is not connector is not supplied to the top of the diaphragm.”

I’ve been running the car with the boost solenoid hooked up and boost control disabled. With a 4lb spring Boost begins to spike in the higher rpm’s and I didn’t know if it’s because it was disabled or it’s a lot of creep.

As long as a normally closed solenoid is used then disabling should not cause a problem.

Did some testing and doesn’t seem to be doing it anymore! Not sure what happened
