I bought a Flashpro with ECU and a key from a friend who wrecked his CTR. Understanding I will have to program the key to the car, is there anything else needed to install and use Flashpro? He couldn’t power up the car to unlock it, which is why I bought the ECU and Flashpro together. I plugged in the ECU and used my original key, the car started then died after 30 seconds due to immobilizer I’m guessing. Mainly wanted to make sure the ECU was good. Plugged my original stock ECU back in and car runs fine. Think I just need to program keys to car with his ECU?

You can try that, but once you match the keys and immobilizer, your original ECU will no longer work in the vehicle, and it will have the incorrect VIN in the other ECU and you cannot change that.

I would recommend that you put the ECU in your vehicle then return to stock and unlock it, then put your original ECU back in and use your ECU with the FlashPro. Then everything will match and be less hassle. You will also need to jailbreak your ECU.
