kpro v4 sn:63199 on a pnf-ao3 in a d17 civic.

I've been having this problem where ever since i installed the hondata cam gear, the car does start, but shuts off after 5 seconds. First, I thought I set the timing wrong after I changed the cam gear, so I went back and quadruple checked all the timing marks and still the engine shuts off after 5 seconds. So out of curiosity i went back and installed the stock cam gear and it actually ran for longer, but extremely rough as expected. So now i want to know why this could be?

I included logs for both cam gears and the calibration in the ecu.

I would recommend that you try the ECU on a known working vehicle such as an RSX or another vehicle that can run the K-Pro and see if it runs as it should. If it does then the problem is either mechanical or wiring related.

okay thanks. is there any known wiring faults that would cause the hondata cam gear to shut off the engine after 5 seconds, but let the stock gear run?
also, what happens if i keep the stock gear on since it seems to work better than the hondata gear?

You cannot use the stock gear as the triggers are in the wrong places. The cam timing may not be set correctly. I'm not aware of any specific conditions that might cause this.
