K24A RBB Swapped into a 91 Honda Wagon - Cal Needed

I am trying to locate a base calibration for the setup below. I swapped a K24A RBB Head 07-08 TSX engine into a 1991 civic DX wagon and have 6 speed manual transmission.

I am using K-Pro4 with a PND ECU, Rywire K Series Budget Tucked Engine Harness and EF K-Conversion wiring harness.

Also have:
  • MTX-L a/f wide band ho2 sensor and gauge (Bosch LSU4.9)
    Skunk alpha 2 header 4-2-1 @ 2.5"
2.5" Thunderbolt Universal Catalytic Converter with 2.5" Exhaust
70 mm throttle body with an Acuity K20 RSX TPS Hall Effect
    K20 oil pump
    Stock 25 degree timing
    Stock fuel injectors
    Universal A/C & P/S Eliminator Kit
When I loaded a generic base calibration, after the car idled and warmed up, my header was glowing orange. I shut down the car, and reset timing, and a few other items.
The second time I started it, the header did not glow orange, but then again, I didn't let idle as long. My a/f was reading 15 +/-1.

Wondering if a different base calibration is needed and if I can get by with just an E-tune?
Thank you,

Post the calibration file and a datalog. I can help make sure it’s running safe. It could be its running very lean. Any base map you use will need adjustments. That’s why it’s best to get and Etune or dyno/street tune.

You can get away with an Etune if you want. ETunes work great when you don’t have a tuner or live far from one.

I uploaded the kal file and a datalog. Thank you for looking at this for me.

Calibrate your TPS and save the calibration file. Re-upload the calibration with the calibrated TPS and a datalog. The TPS is reading 87% at idle. If that doesn't fix the issue double check the TPS sensor and if properly connected.

Well it has taken me some time and was able to fix a few other issues, such as alternator not charging, vss input, etc.

With respect to the TPS calibration, I first measured the voltage on my TPS while with the ignition switch turned on and physically adjusted it until it measured approximately 0.47 volts with throttle closed. I then connected my laptop to the ECU and ran kmanager. I loaded the stock K24 calibration, uploaded into Kpro, then I opened Parameters, Throttle, and
selected "read" with the throttle closed (minimum) and then pressed the gas pedal WOT, and selected "read" for the maximum. For the minimum, it populated 40% and for the max, 102.1%

I then re-uploaded, but not sure it actually saved it to the ECU, since my datalog still shows the TPS at 99% or so.

The kal file is below:
k24 rev 2 a.kal
My datalog is 21 mb. Is there a way to trim the file to make it under 20 mb, so I can upload? I also saved the data by exporting to an excel cvs format, but not able to upload here.

Actually, I will do another datalog, just make it shorter. My datalog may be before I made some adjustments. I will upload tomorrow.

Is the TPS new? I would try a different TPS to rule out the sensor is not bad.

Yes, I had to replace the original throttle since it was drive by wire and replaced it with a 70 mm throttle and an Acuity TPS.

Here is the datalog I did this morning.

I will get a new TPS to see if that is the issue.

If the issue doesn't resolve after you install a new TPS then double check the compatibility between the ECU, wiring harness and the TPS. I wonder if the wires are not correct and the signal is reversed.

Success! I realized that I still had an old TPS. Successfully calibrated the TPS, and uploaded the new values. new kal file below.
k24 rev 4.kal
I then did a couple data logs.
