Protection from ethanol sensor spikes to 100%

Hello, I recently updated my S2000 tune with full ethanol flex fuel capabilities in Flashpro. So far everything is working great, but I do have a small concern/question about random spikes that occur that will take my ethanol reading all the way to 100%.

Question 1: Does Flashpro have any sort of protection from spikes like this? If not, can something be added?

For example, I could be at any ethanol percentage and it will randomly spike to 100% ethanol every so often. Spiking from 65-80% to 100% isn't a huge deal, because my ethanol ignition compensation/multiplier would only increase timing by 0-2 degrees. But if I'm running a low ethanol percentage like 15%, then a 100% spike would result in an increase of ~8 degrees of timing, which could very easily be catastrophic at higher boost and RPM.

So far I have only seen this occur at idle and partial throttle and overrun fuel cut. I have not seen it occur at WOT, but that could just be coincidental.

I'm setting aside the ethanol fuel compensation part of this for now, but my E80 trim percentage is +36%, which would be a ton of fuel added for the brief spike.

Question 2: Is this an issue that other Flashpro users have experienced and fixed outside of Flashpro software?

I am attempting to diagnose the wiring/hardware side of this, and fix it myself, to determine why the ECU and/or Flashpro is receiving these spikes to begin with - whether it's the GM/Continental ethanol sensor or the signal wire or the Science of Speed digital to analog converter, or the ECU itself. All of my wiring is using direct ECU power/ground for the sensor and the converter.

You need to determine if the controller is sending the signal you are seeing. If so then you may need to contact the manufacturer of that controller.
