kpro v4 vtp shows always on in sensors

Post by corlon »

Just completing a kswap with hondata kpro v4 for the 1st time. Haven't started the vehicle yet, Just checking all the inputs to the ecu, clutch, nitrous, etc. On the sensors page the VTP is listed as on. How can i get this to read off until triggered? I am using the input for the clutch signal (-). Regardless of the setting for clutch input on the rev limit page, the VTP is always on, unless the clutch is depressed then it shows off. It doesn't matter if i invert it or not, same result. wondering what i am missing? Here are a few screen shots of the parameter and sensors pages along with the ecu information.

Is VTP still connected to the original location? It appears to be going off and on in the datalog.

It is not connected in the orignal location. Engine has no pressure switch. The on and off in the data log is me depressing the clutch. Otherwise it always reads on.

Is there a known issue with using this input?

Have you tried inverting the input in the calibration?

Have you tried starting the car to see if it does what you are trying to get it to do?

yes, started the vehicle and it is still on with no wiring connected to the input. i would like to use it as a clutch wire input.

From what you have said you are seeing it register when you press the clutch on the VTP input. If it is doing this then inverting just changes whether it register on or off and makes that opposite of what it was.

no. it is always defaulted on regardless of inverting the input.

The datalog you posted shows it going off and on with the clutch input as you described.

correct. however no matter what the setting is its default is always on. i need it to be off so that the clutch input can turn it on.

If it were always on, it would not be going off and on with the switch as you have shown it doing.
