Newbie Looking for stable tune - 9th Gen Civic Si Lightly Upgraded

Post by trevorsssi »

Hi, I am new to the Hondata world. I just purchased a 2013 Civic Si (Canada) with a flashpro. A bit of background the car was previously running an RBC, upgraded throttle body, etc. Those were removed prior to me purchasing (sigh!). So the car right now has a k-tuned 4 BAR sensor, K-tuned fuel rail, stock injectors, skunk2 ... dp, and k-tuned budget SRI.

I have been playing around the last couple days trying to get a stable tune from the base maps on the flashpro however I am struggling. The only stable option I can run right now is the "US 2012-2014, Hondata Reflash" map set with the setting for a 4-bar sensor.

The issue I am running into is when letting off the throttle the car is bucking almost as if it cant smoothly reduce the engine speed.

I have attached a datalog and cali I just ran after re-uploading the tune again.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

Welcome to the forum,

The car might be bucking due to it running lean. I looked over the AFM and it needs 10-15% more fuel.

I recommend to switch to a speed density. These cars run best in speed density after you have upgraded the intake.

Thank you for the help, there is an option in the calibration settings to select a check box enabling speed density in addition to the standard AFM based setting. Is that how I would enable the speed density setting with the reflash calibration? Do I check both boxes?

What you check off depends on the calibration. If if states not to turn off AFM leave it alone and check on the use map selection. Be prepared as the tables will need to be dialed in. The car will run a little rough.
