1200cc injector max out at 350whp
1200cc injector max out at 350whp
Hello, I think I have a problem with my injector duty, I have a D16A9 with Deatschwerks 1200cc, Walbro 450L/H, and AEM Full Rail and Regulator, with 3.5Bar base pressure, I have a GTX2871R at 1.3 Bar of boost, and my 1200cc injector are max out at 7000RPM, while I only have between 350 and 400 horsepower. I entered my injector dead time provided by the manufacturer, etc ... I guess these injectors can pull more than 400hp, but I can't find the solution. I did not install a fuel pressure gauge inside the car, I only have one under the hood. Anyone have a solution for me? THANKS.

I think you should have more room in your fuel system as well. I ran ID1000's on my D16Z6 (E85 fuel) with the standard pressure Walbro 450 (87 psi max total fuel pressure) and maxed them out (99% duty cycle) around 29 psi of boost and made 401 whp.
Set up a camera or get on some rollers and have someone watch your fuel pressure as you do a pull. Or buy a cheap pressure sensor and wire it in, then data log the pull. You really need to know what your fuel pressure is doing.
Are you 100% certain that you have a GENUINE Walbro 450? Did you buy it from a reputable source?
When was the last time you had your injectors cleaned and flow tested? This should cost about $50, and if it's been a while, do it.
What kind of fuel filter are you using, and when was the last time it was changed / cleaned?
What is the condition of the fuel inlet screen that mounts to the bottom of the pump inside the tank?
If you are using the banjo fitting to attach the fuel inlet hose to the fuel rail, are you using the correct spider washer?

Hi , thx for your reply , everything on this setup is brand New, and yes the Fuel Pump is a veritable Walbro . All the Fuel line are in Dash6 , no banjo fitting . I think i'm gonna buy a cheap Fuel pressure gauge and wire it in the car to see if i have the correct Fuel pressure .
