2012 Civic Si: Disabling Misfire Detection

Post by ElCheapoSi »

Hello Hondata forums!

I've recently come into ownership of a 2012 Civic Si, with a "random misfire". Last year, the car had an Exedy clutch kit + non-oem flywheel installed. I have a hunch that the random misfire might be caused by the flywheel. 2012-2015 Si's do not like a non-oem flywheel as we know.

Onto my question:

Would disabling misfire detection in the flashpro settings only disable the flywheel related misfire detection? That is, would clicking the box in the calibration settings ("Disable Misfire Detection") leave the rest of the "factory detection strategy" in place (if there is a real in-clyinder misfire occurring, versus the flywheel intertia detection going off).

Thank you !
