2010 SI Looking for help on my tune!!!!!

Post by BigD »

I have a stock K20Z3 in my 2010 SI. Just a K&N Panel Filter. Getting knock on #2 mostly. Just looking for someone who might be bored and interested who can possibly help me along this tuning process. If this post picks up interest. I can follow up with a fresh datalog and the basemap tune im currently using. I look forward to learning from yall

Mr. Ed,

Just now seeing this reply which is weird. I have given this car to my son and we will be installing a hybrid racing CAI possibly this weekend. I was able to find a decent tune a while back that the car is on now. Would you be available to potentially assist with some tuning if so? I look forward to hearing from you

Mr. Ed,

We finally got the hybrid intake installed. Its the only performance mod thats been done. The car has 226k miles lol. My son may add a header down the road. Its his daily driver so we wont be going to crazy with it unless we do a rebuild. The car is not too bad at the moment. I had to trim Cylinder 2 timing to -2 and trimmed off the knock like a champ. Let me know what you think. And anything we can do differently on the datalog for you. Its about 20 mins. A couple 3rd gear pulls. Some normal shift runs. And a handful of 123 pulls with vtec. Hope we gave you enough info

Overall fueling is not bad. You are using one of EFICU's base maps so I'm not surprised. There are a few counts of knock so timing has to be reduced in those areas. The knock is mainly in the Vtec 40 degree VTC table.

I made some broad timing changes. Load the file and create a similar log. I want to see if the knock count was lowered after my adjustments.
