Dropped a k24a into my integra. Trying to work out the minor issues before getting a full tune. Would appreciate if someone could look over and give me some pointers.
k24a
-Skunk2 tuner stage 1 drop in cam
-50 degree VTC
-RBC intake manifold
-750cc Alpha injectors
-AEM 340 fuel pump (upgraded fuel pump harness)
-72mm throttle body
-Acuity TPS
-Race header
-Custom 3in cat back exhaust
Car is E85 ready but not an issue right now. Car turns on and is some what drive-able. Im having issues with the idle and fuel. Fuel pressure is at 55psi. Ive tried to learn about the fuel maps, timing, and AFR through Jeff Evans videos but im still having issues. It seems that every time I make adjustments to the fuel and makes no real changes because the table still repopulates after and says it needs more. The file I uploaded was recorded from today, from start up and just a couple slow miles around the block.

Post your calibration also, yes you have a lot of short term adjustement adding up to +40% and some knock

Yeah I hope I can get the knock worked out after the fuel is adjusted correctly.

Im really not expert just trying to help! but to begin i think the values for yours alpha injectors are not the right one if they are 750cc it is 550cc on your calibration, is it on purpose ? and the dead times seem a bit off if you compare with what data Alpha injectors gives you on their website. I dont know if its the source of your problem at all in any case

hmmm good catch. Ive set up the injectors and dead times in the past. I have a couple base maps ive been trying to play with. Ill get the correct size and dead times back up tomorrow.

How is it running after you installed the proper injector data?

So I tried updating the deadtimes and injector size but now the car will not idle. It will turn over and start up but rpms drop immediately and the car dies. Also what dead times should I be using, Neither made a difference but their site shows deadtimes for 43psi and 50psi?

Use the 50psi deadtimes. Once you have updated the deadtimes and injector size monitor the AFR. The car is possibly shutting off due to it being lean at idle. You can increase the over all table and then reduce fuel to get it back in line.
You can post the calibration file and log for review.

Ok I was able to make the adjustments and got the car to idle. Start up is a little rough. Drove fine around the block. Idle is not perfect, doesnt want to come down below ~1.5k. Fuel map changes are looking more consistent and smooth compared to my last attempts. I recorded from start up and made a couple rounds around the block and adjusted the fuel map to what it was asking for. 2nd log is just a couple more turns around the block, I didnt want the file to be too big. My VSS has been having issues but only when i get up above ~30/40mph.

The fuel does not look to bad. I did notice that in the startup datalog, the TPS is above 0% a few times. This can have an effect on how it idles since the ecu is not sensing the throttle plate is closed.
Double check that you also do not have any vacuum leaks as this can cause idling issues.
Also, make sure to fix the VSS before you start tuning the VTEC tables. You will not be able to go into Vtec if the VSS is not working properly. You will have to set the VSS to a constant speed with hondata.

Not sure what changes I did made my idle worse. Now at idle it will not come down below 2k. I thought it would be the TB plastic "thermal" gasket and ive tried two different styles of OEM style gasket with no changes. I also moved/changed my MAP sensor, did not help. I believe this was my issue when I upgraded my fuel pump. Ill continue to trouble shoot any ideas would be great. Car still drives fine around the block but basically will move on its own with pressing the gas because how high the idle is.

I’m thinking it’s the IACV staying open and pulling extra air into the manifold. Does using a block of plate change the tune? Or can I use the block off plate for now and then add the IACV later on?

You can close it off and tune the car without it. I have tuned several cars with out an IACV.
The car will idle smoother once you install it again. You might need some minor edit but you should be fine. Make sure to disable the IACV in the tune.

I think the issue with mine is that it is stuck open. If I cover the opening in the throttle body I can hear the rpm’s come down. When disabling in kpro there is no difference. It is a brand new iacv so there is nothing to clean. I believe it is just faulty.
