S300 won't download calibration

Smanager v2/7/8/0

Smanager datalogs fine.
I can upload a new calibration and it uploads fine.
I verify the calibration has uploaded using different VTEC engagements which I test on my car so I know the calibration is being updated on the S300
When I download the calibration, the tables go blank.
I also erased the ECU with no change.

I tested the S300 in another ECU with a working S300 and it fails the same
I also swapped the good S300 into the "bad" ECU and it works fine so I've isolated the problem to the S300

With the s300 connected via USB, if you click the s300 button at the top of the software and then go to the calibration storage tab, do you have "automatically store calibration after uploading to s300" checked
