Flashpro Manager 4.0.3.0 crashing on firmware update

Trying to update the firmware for my Flashpro ,but every time I connect the usb the software crashes saying not responding. Left it for an hour waiting for it to possibly start working but no result , even after a reinstall I had the same issue again. Any ideas of how to resolve this? I know this came out 4 days ago so unsure how many people have the same problem so far.
flashpro is a U.S. R18 edition

Do you have the FlashPro connected to the diagnostic port on the vehicle when trying to update the firmware?

Negative, says to disconnect from port so I just have the usb to computer in.

Have you tried restarting the laptop?

noticed once the firmware update starts the usb light on the flashpro turns off and the power blinks

tried restarting after each reinstall

connected to the car and ran a datalog doesnt seem to be a hardware issue, just disconnects once the manager tries to update the firmware

Do you have internet access when it is trying to update the firmware?

yes tried wifi and cable connections , any ideas on possible solutions?
