Hello Hondata,
I have a 2003 Acura RSX ( Base model ) with Automatic Transmission.
My ECU part Number is
37820-PND-A56
========
I am planning to do an " Auto to Manual "
conversion swap on the transmission
I am also planning to do a K24A2
engine swap
========
According to your article at ...
https://www.hondata.com/tech-alternativ ... ngine-swap
" With the KPro4 it is possible to use the 2002-2004 RSX base auto ECU.
This will only work for engine swaps. "
" We install the manual transmission code into this ECU. "
QUESTION 1 :
Will my ECU work with KPRO v4
for both the Manual Transmission conversion
and the K24A2 swap ?
QUESTION 2 :
Will my ECU work with KPRO v4
for JUST the Manual Transmission conversion alone by itself
(
without doing a K24A2 swap ) ?
QUESTION 3 :
What is the turnaround time to get KPRO V4 installed ?
=======
Thanks in advance.

.
QUESTION 4 :
I am wanting to use my AUTO ECU because Manual ECU's are very expensive to buy, hard to find, and expensive to program to my key fobs.
Are there any
" significant " known issues with using an AUTO ECU ?
Such as with the speedometer or cluster ?
If, yes are there any
" significant " known issues with
NO solutions ?
QUESTION 5 :
Which Manual Transmission harness would I need to get ?
- I have a 2003 Acura RSX ( Base model ) with Automatic Transmission.
- My ECU part Number is 37820-PND-A56
- I am planning to do an " Auto to Manual " conversion swap on the transmission
- I am also planning to do a K24A2 engine swap
EXAMPLE : A Manual Harness from a RSX Type S, or would a Manual Harness from a Base RSX be fine ?
=======
Thanks in advance.

Apologize for reviving a very old post, but I have similar questions.
I'm also doing an auto to manual trans swap on an 03 base RSX.
(Trans swap is to a W2M5 5 speed - the one out of the original 02-04 RSX base manual)
ECU 37820-PND-A56
I have a manual harness to use for the project
Seems like Kpro4 should work fine and from the "KPro Alternative ECU for Engine Swaps" I just need to manually connect the VSS signal wire to the Kpro patch harness.
My question is, on the patch harness it looks like there's about 9 other wires coming out. Where do all those need to go?
Alternatively I could get a PND-A06 ECU and immobilizer bypass for the project to work, but that's a whole lot more money when it seems like all I need to do for kpro on my current auto ECU is some de/repinning and some soldering.
I'm not tracking there should be any other issues?
Side question - to get the prior reflash discount what documentation do I need? or do you just look it up based on the serial? (I currently have the hondata auto reflash. love it btw)
Happy Thanksgiving

Hello Lucky16.
A little over a year ago I sucessfully swapped my transmission.
Invested 6 months of reserch toward parts, purchases and labor.
I had to sell the car within 3 months before tag renewal was due.
Happy ending was that I got into a Toyota 86.
====
All the best.
Let us know how it goes.

Interesting
Sorry you had to sell after all that work - I know it's a lot
When you did your swap did you get kpro on your auto ecu or did you buy a manual one?

I purchased a Manual ECU from eBay, and sent it to a dealer that then added the KPROv4 to the ECU.
I have read other forums where other folks had their readiness codes erased when the ignition is turned off after they installed KPRO.
One other thing I was not told was that you will need to get your car tuned for idling.
Whenever the A/C was turned on the RPM's would drop almost to the point of the car stalling.

No one told me, so I am passing this info along to all that can benefit from it.
