new mapp required 410cc injectors and more

Post by B0BSK1 »

hi ladies and gents been enjoying trawling through the froum o much talent on here and really looing forward to dialing i some sweet settings. already amazed with flat foot shifting and launch lol. just an old kid kidding on hes a young kid again lol

my current mods

tegwia induction
skunk 2 inlet
fd2 balance shaft delete
421 japspeed single exit

i had in vein tried my own mapping skills but soon ran out of talent as after installing my mods it ran cough cough rough

so i saw one on the forum created by EFICU
IvanJohn.SD.Rev01.6 (Blended)(Vtec4600).fpcal

this transformed my ride tremendously ovs i understand its not perfect for my car but certainly improved no end. after speaking briefly with eficu i know what needs to be done

will be installing my injectors this week when harness arrives and im aware i need to have the map etc changed to suit the new spray pattern

so reaching out to the main man himself eficu to see if you could hook me up with a starting point to go forward with injectors and little more please

cheers bob

Hi Bob,

So what year is your car and everything? What octane fuel are you running?

Let me know so I can get everything together to start you on.

Sounds good. When are you installing the injectors? Let me know and I will get the first file put together for you.

Sounds good. Here is the first calibration to get started. I don't know if we discussed it much, but we will want to go in and tune each cam angle one by one, then blend out the tables using that data. This will probably take around ten revisions to get it dialed and build a tune designed for your car specifically. If you need it done sooner let me know, but this is the best way to do it. This first calibration will be running on the 0* cam angle with vtec at 4500. The 0* cam angle is rather boring, so don't get discouraged, it lays the foundation for everything we do moving forward.

Have you made any datalogs with the IvanJonn calibration you were running? If so, I would like to look it over to make sure there aren't any red flags or anything.

Were you wanting to run a different rev limit since you have the balance shaft delete, or are you good with it at 8600?

Anyways, here is the first one for you. It's set up for the RDXs, and I swapped the gear ratios to match your FN2. Be sure to upload this one before starting it with the RDXs installed.

Smashing many thanks for this

I'm happy with doing the data logs how ever many it takes .

I saw your looking for town driving so I assume stay out of the high revs apart from the third gear pull to asses first of all

Will do install parts tonight and come back with my first log so we can start the process many thansk again

Can't ✋️

Sorry, I forgot to give you the datalog driving protocol. So yeah, shoot for stop and go driving if possible. Or at least vary the RPMs and do some shifting through the gears if you're out in the country. We get a lot more average data when you do that, when driving at steady speed and RPM it only populates a small number of cells. On the drive, also make one wide open throttle (WOT) pull in third gear from 2500-8600. That way we can see the part throttle fuel and WOT fuel.

If you're okay with the limiter at 8600 I would just leave it there. I was curious if you were wanting to rev to 9000 or so with the oil pump. It won't make power over 8200 or so, so anything above 8600 is just for fun.

Do you have any datalogs from the prior calibration? I see two pending codes in the system, so I'm trying to see if you had them before or if it's because of the 8th gen calibration.

Unfortunately I am not 100% sure as I've never tried to use an 8th gen cal on an FN2. It took the calibration obviously, but I don't know how compatible they are. Let's try an actual FN2 calibration and see if the codes appear. Don't do any wild driving. Let's make a normal datalog and see if the codes come back or not.
