Vehicle S2000, Kpro4, Kmanager V4.5.1, PRB calibration.
I'm installing a supercharger setup and before first startup I wanted to calibrate my new SOS 3 bar MAP sensor and make sure it reads correctly.
I have set MAP sensor as custom with the provided calibration data from SOS.
With ignition on I was hoping it would be possible to apply pressure and vacuum at sensor and check the readings in kmanager.
Is this not possible?
In kmanager my sensor reads 0 kPa flat until I run the starter then it jumps up to 100 kPa and flatlines there until I turn off ignition.
I had injectors and ignition coils unplugged so engine never started.
MAP sensor seemed to work correctly with linear output when tested on bench with separate 5V supply.
MAP sensor readings
Re: MAP sensor readings
MAP only is read by the ECU with some engine rpm.
With a supercharger 99% of the MAP sensor problems are people not re-locating the sensor so that it can see boost, so if you have done that you should be ok.

Re: MAP sensor readings
Great thanks for the confirmation, sensor is located on TB just like stock so shouldn't be any problems then.
Re: MAP sensor readings
It is a volumetric supercharger, after the TB, then it will be a problem.
If it is a centrifugal SC that blows through the TB, then it is ok.
