Another boring HR intake tune thread

Looking to get my tune dialed in. Currently running a map from EFICU. First data log is attached, you can see I had a hard time finding somewhere for a full third gear pull. This was actually logged on my way home from work, my normal data log route should be much better.

Car: 2010 Si Sedan
Mods: Hybrid Racing intake (nothing else planned, like ever. Car is a daily, do not want it any louder)
Milage: 151k, bought at 140k. Engine and gearbox feel very healthy to me. New trans fluid, plugs, oil...engine feels great to me.
Gas: Washington is weird, 91 is everywhere, with 92 being available some places. I run Costco or Fred Meyer 92 octane about 80% of the time. But 91 is by far the most common to see at the pump.
Goals: Reliability. I do 12-15k miles a year. Probably 60% of those highway. Planning on keeping this car to at least 200k.

Thanks in advanced! Car feels great, just want to get it fine tuned.

Yeah it's not too bad. Can you post which calibration you found of mine? It can b cleaned up pretty easily if you want to stick with the same calibration.

This is the map it is running right now. I don't know if this is the best place to start or if we should start with a different one.

Yeah if you don't plan to ever add any mods, I would recommend we tune it the proper route so that all the tables are tuned and then we can blend out the cam angle mapping and vtec rpm. This usually takes 10-12 revisions to complete. We can do it a slightly quicker route which might take 6-8 revisions if you're strapped for time.

Based on your fuel description, I would recommend we tune it for 91 since that is the lowest octane you use. That way you can be sure there is no knock year round.

Let me know what you think, and then we can go from there.

Definitely not planning on anymore mods. I am down for the full 10-12 revisions. Might take me a week to do them all with work but it sounds like the best move.

Okay sounds good. We will start on the 0* cam angle with vtec at 4500. For the datalogs, shoot for 20 minutes in with normal stop and go driving. Also we need to try to get one good wide open throttle (WOT) pull in third gear from 2500-8600 so we can work on the WOT fueling. If you want the rev limiter lowered just let me know

Take this one for a spin when you can. The 0* cam isn't very exciting power wise, so don't get discouraged, it's just a base to get us going.

Is it okay to drive around on this tune if I am not beating on it? Im a realtor so I drive a lot for work. Okay to upload this tune, drive around for work, then grab a 20 min log on the way home? Thanks!

Yeah that's fine. It will be close enough to drive around on with no issues. Like you said, just don't go beating on it until we get a few revisions in. But yeah, go for it.

I think this is the right file. Let me know if I can do anything better for the logs.

Yeah that's it. Looks great for a start, I made some part throttle fuel adjustments and some WOT adjustments. We will now move to the 15* cam angle with vtec at 4500 still. Take this one for the same datalog and driving style, that last one was really well done.

Split this one in 2 because I stopped for gas.

Looks great again. I forgot to mention in the first datalog I cleaned up some ignition from the one knock we had. I also cleaned up the ignition for the couple we had here, so it's all working good. I made a the needed fuel changes for this one, and now we will move to the 30* cam with vtec up at 5500 now. I will move it around over the next few revisions to work on finding out optimal vtec rpm crossover and the fueling before and after it. Take this one for a spin when you can, same datalog and driving style again.

Sounds good. It's all looking great, your car seems to be working very well and is very consistent which is always great to work with.

Talk to you tomorrow.

For reasons I don't understand, this log is 490 megabytes and my previous ones are around 4-5. This was my whole drive home from work but maybe 40 minutes vs 20 for the others.
