Strange analog input readings

Post by JikMonz »

- Renault Clio 182 (kswap)
- KPro Serial - 46319
- version of software being used (from Help, About)
- ECU part number - 37820-PRA-E02
- KManager version -4.5.1.0
- the calibration
- Basic breathing upgrades, intake, 2.5" exhaust, running hybrid racing swap harness
- Purchased Kpro from TypeTwoOnline in Northern Ireland in November 2021

Hi Guys, first post here. I am having some problems with the analog inputs when wiring in oil temp and pressure sensors, i am running an AIM MXP Strada dash communication via Can however this issue seems to be specifically with the Kpro and not the dash.

Due to the dash the recommended sensor are autometer 2246 for pressure and autometer 2252 for temperature, wired to analog 0 & 1 respectively. I have taken my 5v feed from ECU E5, my sensor ground from ECU E4, with the required 1.5k resistor for the temp sensor.

The problem i am having is when i select my sensor conversion in Kmanager and then run a datalog i am showing a reading of 2.4v on analog 0 (pressure) at all times, this does not change with engine on/off/sensor unplugged or the analog harness unplugged from the ecu. I have the same issue with the temp sensor conversion however this voltage readout is in excess of 2000v on Kmanager. The dash display does not display anything other than default readings as if no sensor was connected regardless of whether things are connected or not.

i have tried selecting other sensor conversions such as the PLX fluid pressure sensor and delphi temp sensor, these all return 0v as i would expect when running a datalog?

My original though was i had wired something incorrectly but as i went through my fault diagnosis procedure led me to running the same test with everything relating to analog inputs unplugged from the ECU.

I have attached some screengrabs of the fault in Kmanager however i am unsure how to save datalog of the fault? The calibration i am running is the included dyno tuned european EP3 type R, i have not had the car tuned so everything is as was in that file.

Thanks for any advice,

Cole

The calibration you have attached does not have any analog settings enabled.

Post the actual calibration with settings used and as uploaded to the ECU as well as a datalog showing the readings made with that calibration.

If you measure with a multimeter do you see any voltage changes on the analog signals?
