First start help KMiata K24Z3 swap with KPro

I have recently completed a K24Z3 swap in to a 2001 Miata using the KPower engine and conversion harness along with a KPro V4.

I have double checked all wiring. We are getting spark indicated by ground the coil and plug on valve cover bolt. And the fuel rail is pressurize.

The calibration I used was from KPower and is attached called K23Z3 tune. I took a datalog of the start up and you can see some RPM, TPS (my friend was moving the TB), and IGN cycles variation. Oddly, the INJ is fixed at 35ms and is in red instead green on the Display tab for the entire timeframe.

The data log leads me to believe that the brand new crank position sensor is working correctly.

Any advice or next steps in diagnostics is appreciated.

Try the ECU on a known running vehicle and see if it starts and runs with the calibration for that vehicle.

I'd say the battery voltage being 5V should be the first thing to look at.

Battery voltage should have been the first clue...

TLDR: Added ground cable between valve cover and timing cover. Timing cover already grounded to chassis.

The common 12V to the injector harness was only reading 10.5V. As soon as we added the ground to the valve cover voltage went to 12.5V. Reconnected and car started right up.
