Short term fuel trim

Post by Hondatuner_1 »

I currently am learning to tune and come across what I think may be a problem. My short term claims engine requires -21 fuel delivery. However, my engine starts around 12-13 and idles around 14.7 after ECT compensation settles. Therefore, I don’t understand as to reason why it would claim such amount. Please help me, thanks.

Has this been properly tuned on the dyno?

If the tune is in closed loop and its pulling 21%, take 21% out of the map where your seeing the 21% rich. The short term trim should be zero. Or put in open loop and see how rich it actually is.
