2011 civic Si Basemap Help

Post by FG2.MATT »

Car is stock besides kN drop in filter, Test pipe, muffler delete. I recently got a flashpro and used the stock tune but realized the car was running rich at wot with quite a few knocks so i found a thread on here with someone using the same mods i have and used the map from the thread and car ran very well with zero knocks but is still running rich. Anyone got any advice? I atttached the Datalog using the map i got off here.

Since you didn't post the calibration, from what I can see you found one of the calibration I built with another guy on here. Depending on the test pipe you have, this tune might have too much cam angle in it for your mods, but if you're happy with how it feels I can clean up the fuel for you. It's running rich because you most likely grabbed a calibration with an intake, most likely the HR intake or Skunk. If you can post the calibration you are running I can see for sure and determine which car this was from, or link me to the forum you found it so I can see who the owner is. Either way though, if you're happy with how it feels, I can clean up the fuel for you easily, just let me know.

Yeah it’s one I built with him. That’s good though that it got you to a better place with no knock. So if you’re happy with how it feels, I can make the fuel adjustments for you to get it dialed. Just let me know.

Yeah that would be great I’d really appreciate it!! As long as everything looks good using that map I’d be glad to use that as a base.

Yeah, as long as we don't have any knock things are good. I generally like to make a complete tune on these cars for you cars starting from scratch, but I am going to be so busy for the next twelve days I want to get you something safe because I won't be as accessible as I normally am. Once I get threw this busy stretch I have over the next two weeks, we can do some more detail work on testing cam angles and what not, but for now we can dial the fuel to get you going in the right direction.

So I made some adjustments to the part throttle and WOT fueling. Take this one for a drive when you can. The datalogs need to be in the 20-30 minute range, and your WOT pull in third gear, shoot for making that third gear WOT pull from 2500-8600 so we can see all the WOT fueling. We should be super close on this one from using the WOT data in that datalog you posted earlier.

Did you use rev05 from that other thread? If not, which revision did you use?

That sounds good with me I appreciate you taking your time to do this. I’ll upload the map now and should have a data log in about 40 mins.

Which revision did you use from the other thread, Rev05? Anyways, I touched up the ignition in this one and some of the fueling. Take this one for the same type of datalog and driving style, and we will see how it looks.

Sounds good. That one looked good, back to no knock which is good. I made some WOT fueling adjustments, take this one for a spin when you can and we will see how it looks.

It looks really good. The fueling is pretty much dead on which is great. You had one real knock in vtec, and the other two were from driving in 6th gear at 43mph. 6th gear at 43mph will tend to cause knock because of the low mph and high load of 6th gear, so just something to keep in mind. I went ahead and made some changes for both knock scenarios for this next one. Take it for a spin when you can and we will see how it looks. Looking for knock is our main goal now, the fueling looks killer.

Sorry its been a few days been pretty busy. but heres a datalog. I got a question, so a skunk2 alpha header ended up falling in my hands, how would the car run with that installed with this tune? If its safe id install it this saturday the 13th.

This latest datalog you posted is the same one from the other day. Double check your files and see if the newest one did record or if it had en error.

The header won't make too much of a difference in the tune, so go ahead and throw it on. We can make some slight changes to take advantage of it, plus once my schedule clears up next week we will be doing some more detailed work on your tune anyways.

But yeah, double check the files in your FlashPro and see if there is a newer one in there.
