turbo k20
hellow so i need some help im all most done doing the turbo kit on my k20z3 but before i was all motor with skunk 2 ultra race manifold and ktuned 72mm trottle body and i had my MAP sensor delete but i dont know if y need to put back the MAP sensor again for turbo I have hondata flash pro thank u
Re: turbo k20
I don't really do boosted setups, but some things that jump out to me are, if you plan to run boost control via the ECU, it has to have a MAP sensor to reference boost to control it and protect the engine with a boost cut if the pressure goes past your desired limit. Without the MAP sensor reading to the ECU it cannot control boost or protect from overboost.
Fueling will probably be difficult if you plan to go boost with a MAF sensor tune. I guess it would be possible, but chances are it would be difficult. With the MAP sensor based speed density tune, you can probably have better fueling and the ECU can get a boost signal for other features.
Hopefully the Hondata boys will jump in with more issues or concerns, those mentioned would be the ones that jump out to me. Did you delete the MAP sensor because of the Skunk manifold?

Re: turbo k20
You cannot delete the MAP sensor. It must be installed and be able to read vacuum and boost.
