Looking for which basemap to run temporary

Post by dan_fg2 »

Hi new to hondata and was looking for a basemap to run temporary. The mods I have are only the Ktuned Short Ram Intake. Any help in which would be a good basemap for this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Being a big tube intake, you will most likely want a MAP based calibration to get it to run it's best. None of the basemaps are really designed for MAP based tuning with an intake only setup. If you're looking for something quick and simple, I can send you a basemap and clean it up for your car over a few revisions if you want. It would probably take 3-4 revisions, granted everything is mechanically sound and don't have an underlying issue causing knock.

Let me know if you want some help with it.

No problem. Give this first file a drive and we will see how it looks. For the datalogs, we need them to be in the 20-30 minute range with as much stop and go driving as possible. Basically try to avoid long steady speed driving like highways and stuff. On the drive, we need one wide open throttle (WOT) pull in third gear from 2500-8600. Keep the driving to fairly normal driving without getting too aggressive. And only keep it to the one WOT pull in third gear until we can look over the datalog. Once I clean up any big chunks of fuel or ignition, you can have a lot more fun on the next one.

If you have any questions let me know.
