Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
2007 Si stock
3" intake pipe
Soon to be zdx throttle body port matched.
Just got flash pro and downloaded the "fa5 completely stock tuned" tune. Started car and idles great. Revs as usual. Will be driving it tonight and datalogging. I'm a newbie to the "ecm tuning" lol. Any and all help would greatly be appreciated! Thanks everybody!

Welcome to the Hondata world. Can you give us a little more info on the intake setup, does it go behind the headlight or back towards the firewall?
When are you switching to the ZDX TB?
Do you have plans for more mods soon, or is the intake and ZDX your only mods for a long time?

Thanks for the interest. I have a 3" short ram that goes towards the firewall. I have the throttle body but am waiting on the adapter to arrive. I will getting a header (plm) and making a 3" exhaust. Over the winter I will be port matching/ gasket matching the intake manifold, intake ports and the exhaust ports.
Re: Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
Gotcha. To tune these cars properly, you really want to tune each cam angle individually to build the data needed to build a proper cam angle map and proper fueling. The problem with that, it is sort of time consuming. Since you plan to do your build in stages, the decision on when to spend the time to dial it becomes important. The biggest impact on the tune that you plan to do is the PLM header. Than changes just about everything in the tune as far as cam angle and getting the most from the car. The intake and exhaust help, but nothing is bigger impact than the race header. With that said, what I would recommend is starting you on one of my completed files to get you going and get it dialed with the setup you have. Then, when you add the ZDX, we can clean it up pretty easy. That would give you something fun and safe to drive on until you add the PLM and exhaust. I would recommend doing the exhaust and PLM at the same time if possible, but budget permitting that may not be an option. I just don't like seeing you guys beat on your cars retuning them for every new mod you know.
Just one thing to note as well, you have plans to do a lot of labor intensive things to your car as far as port matching and such, but the intake going back towards the firewall will negate a lot of that hard work through very high intake temperatures. Are you using the stock intake box, just a 3" pipe in place of the stock rubber hose? I don't know where you live, but in hot summer months that pipe and filter is going to cook from hot air, in the cooler months not too bad but stiller higher than you would think. I would highly recommend the Hybrid Racing intake or Skunk2 where they put the filter as far away from the header as possible. If you don't want a filter behind the bumper, K-Tuned makes a 3" intake than sits right behind the headlight. Then I would build a heatshield around the filter to help block off the hot air too. It's totally up to you, just want to give my .2 cents since you plan to do a lot of labor intensive stuff to get every little inch of power. I hate to see the intake temps running very hot all the time and killing your hard work.
Anyways, let me know what you think. I can send you my basefile to get started on and then we can clean that up for your car. Then once you get the ZDX, we can clean it up for that, and so on as you go. Let me know if you have any questions on anything.

Re: Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
Thank so much! The car won't be driven this winter so that's when I plan on doing most of the work. I will be adding an actual CAI. Also I will be wrapping the exhaust in heat wrap. Plm header and custom 3" exhaust. Perhaps a new VTC cam. Money permitting of course lol.
Re: Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
Okay sounds good. Just to clarify, the 3" intake on it now is just the pipe to the factory airbox, or is it an open filter type intake?
Re: Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
3" pipe to Apexi adapter and filter.

No airbox lol
Re: Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
Gotcha, looks good. Okay, well I will attach the first file for you to start on and we will go from there and evolve it as your setup evolves. For datalogging, we need them to be in the 20-30 minute range with as much stop and go type driving as possible. Basically avoid steady speed for long periods of time like freeway/highway driving. On the drive, we need one wide open throttle (WOT) pull in third gear from 2500-8600 to look at WOT fueling. For this first revision, keep the driving normal and calm, and only one WOT pull until I can see how it all looks before you get too spirited with the driving. It will be very close from the start, but I like to clean up any big chunks before you get after it.
Let me know if you have any questions on it. Vtec is set at 4300, which we might raise up or down depending on how it looks. But for now, see how it goes. In the next revision you can get after it, for this first one just keep the driving to normal driving with the third gear WOT pull.

Re: Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
Thank you soo much I will load it up asap!
20-30 minutes of some regular driving stop and go etc. With one WOT 2500 to 8600. Got it! It will be a little later this evening but I can't wait. Thank you so much for the great support and help.

No problem, happy to help. We'll see how it looks and clean it up for the next run. Then you can have some fun with it.
Re: Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
Can you work with 2 separate logs? 15 minutes or so each?
Re: Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
Yeah. Just be sure to make them at least 15 minutes though. Average data is our goal. Short datalogs give us a small data sample. But 15 minutes is fine, especially for the first revision. We basically don’t want five minute datalogs you know.
Re: Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
Yes of course lol. Just in my area I am surrounded by 35-45 mph zones. Then it's in city driving. I'd turn around and then head back to my house. I can get a wot on the way back.
Re: Stock 07 Si tuned map help. Thank you!
Okay sounds good. Since you're in such low zones, rev the engine out a little higher than you normally would before shifting. Say up to like 5000 rpms or so before shifting to try to get more data. It's not the end of the world, just the better average data we can get the better we can dial it in. We'll see how it looks though and I'll let you know if there is something more we can do to get more data.
