07 SI sedan stock w/ stock tuned map plz help
New to flashpro. Just did a datalog 20min city driving ended up with 2 3rd gear pulls as i had to let off on the first one. If someone could review them it would be much appreciated. I plan on keeping it stock until KW or turbo around Nov/Dec. Car drives well but seems like there is room for improvement over the completely stock, tuned map.

Overall the fuel trims aren't too bad. The WOT fueling is just a little bit rich, but nothing to panic about. It does have too much timing, you have a lot of knock on the WOT pulls in third gear. I'm guessing you run 91 octane?
As far as performance, IMO, that calibration has too much cam angle for a stock setup. You would benefit greatly from reduced cam angle to better suite your stock setup.
If you want some help with it let me know. It wouldn't take too much work to get it dialed being a stock setup.

Thanks for your time. I would definitely like to get it dialed in as I will be running this for at least 3-5 months. I looked at my logs as well and felt the same way (rich/knock). i just don't have the knowledge or confidence yet to go changing things. Please let me know when we can proceed.
Re: 07 SI sedan stock w/ stock tuned map plz help
No problem. We can start right now, there are two ways to do it. Depending on how much time you have to make datalogs, to get the most out of it we should tune each cam angle individually to get the data needed to build a proper cam angle map. Usually takes about six revisions to tune all cam angles for a stock setup, then we blend everything out to get it dialed. So you're looking at 8-10 revisions in total. If you don't have the time to make that many datalogs, we can do the best we can use similar setups to get it dialed, probably take 4-5 revisions that way. Let me know which direction works for you and we'll get started. The first few revisions to scale the MAF will need the 20-30 minute datalogs, after the final few revisions to tune each cam angle will only need a couple WOT pulls to get the data we need. I try to get you to the fun part as quick as possible, the locking of cam angle means that it might feel strong or slow because one cam angle is efficient in areas while not in others.conyst wrote: Sat Aug 28, 2021 3:31 am Thanks for your time. Anyways, let me know if you have time to go the long route or note. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Hey guys, I'm also newer to this lol. Would it be possible to jump in on this with you. LMFAO! I just got flash pro and loaded the exact same tune. I'm going to do some logging tonight. Hope I can help and also get some help myself. Cheers!
Re: 07 SI sedan stock w/ stock tuned map plz help
I can help you with it no problem, but go ahead and start your own thread in this same forum and we'll work on your car through that. It would be difficult to work on two cars in the same thread.SHERB wrote: Sat Aug 28, 2021 8:09 am Hey guys, I'm also newer to this lol. Would it be possible to jump in on this with you. LMFAO! Thanks so much I just added a new thread.

Hey thanks for your willingness to do this! I would like to go the long route. I work a lot but always have a spare 30 to log. Let me know when you want to begin.
Re: 07 SI sedan stock w/ stock tuned map plz help
Okay sounds good. Here is the first one. For the datalogs, as mentioned, 20-30 minutes of stop and go type driving, basically we want to avoid steady speed driving like highway/freeway driving. On the drive, we need one WOT pull in third gear from 2500-8600rpms so we can see the WOT fueling as well. If you want the rev limiter lowered just let me know. For this first one I made some MAF scaling adjustments based on the datalog you posted earlier today. So we should be off to a good start here.
This first one is on the 0* cam angle, so don't be surprised if it feels somewhat sluggish because this is the last powerful cam angle possible. It's just a starting point to get us going and dial each cam angle. Vtec will be at 4500 in this one. I will move vtec around as we go, which I will let you know what the rpm is so you can be aware of the engagement point. Anyways, take it for a spin, 20-30 minutes of as much stop and go driving as possible and one WOT pull in third gear from 2500-8600.

Okay, sounds good. Also you mentioned that it looks like I run 91oct. I only put it 93 typically from costco or Exxon not sure if this has any effect or if their fuel is substandard. Going to drive this now. Thanks.
Re: 07 SI sedan stock w/ stock tuned map plz help
Any 93 is better than 91, haha. No you should be fine with those. I don’t know where Costco gets their gas, Exxon I’m sure is good. Either way you’ll be fine with both. From what I remember from looking at your datalog, the knock you showed seemed like 91 octane. But every car is different. We’ll get it ironed out though.

Re: 07 SI sedan stock w/ stock tuned map plz help
2nd log was short and bad WOT pull...sry thought i removed it
Re: 07 SI sedan stock w/ stock tuned map plz help
Looks really good for a start. Looks like we nailed the MAF scaling on the first shot. WOT fuel was a little rich, but no big deal, I made adjustments for that and a few knock we had. Now we move onto the 15* cam angle with vtec at 5500. Same datalog and driving style, the the driving in that datalog was perfect.
