Hondata

Hi, I recently got the 2022 Honda civic touring and found about Hondata and the Flashpro and im pretty much sold! Im very excited!, its the missing piece to make this car just perfect!! I have been reading all about Hondata and it all looks legit and safe as long as you stick to the Hondata base maps, I just want to use one of the base maps to add a little bit of power without affecting reliability, I will probably use the 3+ psi, i dont plan making any other modification on the car, completely stock, only the Hondata.

Forgive me if its too many questions but i want to educate myself as much as i can, the car is new and don't want to have any issues, what i would like to know is:

1. Will there be a cheaper Carb FlashPro version for the 2022 1.5t honda civic and how soon?
2. What will happen to econ, normal and sports mode after loading one of the base maps?
3. Will i need to use premium fuel after loading one of the basemaps, what fuel? what will happen if i don't once in a while, will the vehicle compensate?
4. How safe is it with the basemaps?

2. ECON mode will depend on if you have Hondata mode enabled: https://www.hondata.com/help/flashpro/h ... htsub=mode
3. You should use a minimum of 91 octane.
4. Basemaps should be safe if used with the parts they were setup for.

One more thing, just to be clear, with Hondata mode enabled it says you get full power in sports mode and stock power in non sport mode (normal), it doesn't explicitly say what happens in econ mode, i'm assuming econ will stay the same, so basically with Hondata mode, the modifications are only applied to sports mode and everything else stays the same? Does that mean that i would be able to drive with 87 fuel if i only drive it in normal mode?. My car has all three, econ, normal and sport. Thanks again!

Are you referring to a mode on the transmission?

Im not sure, sorry! the 2022 Honda civic has 3 driving modes you can choose from; eco, normal and sport.

It will give less power in econ mode, but the other 2 modes will be the same power level.
