Just got the hondata flashpro for my 2012 civic si. I was testing the waters and uploaded a tune with a 3000rpm launch limit. Now I cant seem to update the tune, because after every upload the launch limit doesnt change, no matter what I set the calibration to. Please help.

Can you elaborate on "now you can't update the tune" a bit? What are you trying to update or change?

Which calibration did you select?

The original tune is the stock reflash, with a lower launch rev limiter. Now I want to upload the stock reflash but with no modifications.

I select the base tune, hit upload, it loads, says upload successful, and the tune hasn't changed.

How are you verifying it's the same file?

Are you naming these two files distinct names so that it's clear which one is in the ECU?

You're verifying which calibration is in the ECU by opening FlashPro Manager with the FlashPro attached and looking up last calibration uploaded?

I know the tune doesn't change cuz the tune I'm trying to upload has a 5000rpm launch rev limit, and the launch rev limit on my ECU is still 3000rpm.

I will open the reflash tune which has a 5000rpm launch limit, save it and title it as "please work", hit upload, get the "upload successful" notification, and the launch limit will still be 3000rpm.

should i be resetting back to stock ecu settings between different reflash tunes?

Can you post both files you have, the 3000 launch and the 5000 launch?

Attached are both files. the 5000rpm launch file is simply the "stock reflash" base tune for 2012-2014 SIs. The 3000rpm launch file is also the "stock reflash" base tune but i changed the launch rpm to 3000rpm.

Post a datalog showing the issue with the calibration you are saying is not working. Also try setting a really low rev limit of 2000 RPM and see if it takes that change.

I saved and uploaded a new calibration, it was the stock reflash but this time i set the launch rev limit to 2000. It said upload successful, then it revved to 3000rpm. Attached is a datalog I saved.

Can someone confirm that I'm not just doing it wrong? I have a tune uploaded already, I save a new tune, I hit the upload button, and it says successful. Is that what I'm supposed to do or am I missing a critical step?

don't use the launch rev limit, set the regular rev limit to 2000 and see if it then rev limits to that new rev limit.

Well that worked, now it only revs to 2000. I don't quite know what to make of this.

OK so I just reuploaded a tune with a 5k launch and 7.5k overall limit and it still revs to 3k at standstill. No other rev limits are set to 3k. The overall rev limit was 2k previously so we know the tune was updated. just not the launch rev limit. I attached a screencap of the tune i uploaded and a datalog

It is probably a problem with your clutch switch as the ECU cannot see when the clutch is let go or depressed.
