I have a 2002 rsx Type s k20a2 engine 6 speed transmission both original to the car. I Have installed a70mm throttle body and a skunk2 injen cold air intake and skunk2 intake manifold. Injectors have been increased to 410 cc.

After installing the Kpro V4 all is well except a P0500 error code. After researching, this forum as others, it led me to the fact that the ecm has no input from the VSS. The rub is that I cant find the fix. I have double checked that the sensor is set to low frequency and that the proper transmission has been selected. The only fix so far is selecting the constant speed choice but that choice seems to render VTEC useless.

By the amount of posts seen it is definitely a pattern failure and I know one of you gurus have figured this out.

What is the serial umber that is on the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

What is the ECU part number that is on the white plug inside the ECU?

This ECU should not be used in an RSX.

Any cure or just reorder another ecu?

You should use the correct ECU from a manual RSX Type S.
