I picked up a second hand p06 with a s300 v3. The guy I bought it from says it was working before he sold it to me. I get both green lights when the ignition is turned on but no prompt from the laptop saying that the cable is connected. I tried two different laptops and two different cables. I’m running windows 10 with the latest version of smanager. I get an error code every time I try to install the driver

Do the laptops have ARM based processors?

I honestly have no idea. One was an older windows tablet which I didn’t expect to really work, but the newer one is an asus imaginebook. It has a intel core m3 processor.

The imaginebook uses Windows 10 S which does not allow the use of software that is not from the Windows Store, and this could be causing the issue. It must be a full normal version of Windows.

Ok I’ll try to get a different version of windows and I’ll let u know what happens

Try a friends' laptop as well.

Tried a computer with windows xp and now I get the message that the driver updated successfully but I’m still not able to connect. I’m starting to think it’s an issue with the s300

What shows up in the Windows device manager when you plug in the USB?

Nothing that says hondata, but when I plug it into the computer the two lights come on green on the hondata, even with the ignition off

but something should show up in the device manager when it is plugged in and disappear when unplugged, what does it show up as?

It wound up being these 2 cheap usb cables I bought from Walmart 🤦🏻‍♂️
