can i have help with reflash and making it better
hey i have a 2015 civic si with a skunk 2 alpha dp and skunk 2 catback but i installed a ktune universal muffler. everything is 3 inch. did a quick datalog with a 3rd gear pull to 5k and a 4th gear pull to 5k. just wondering if anyone can help me with making it a bit better. i just used the 2014 honda reflash. was nothing else for my car. im about to head into town and could get a longer datalog

I can help you with it if you'd like. The tune in there isn't bad, fuel trims aren't too far off on part throttle. Some issues to note though, it is pulling up to 5* of timing on your wide open throttle (WOT) to prevent knock. This will kill some performance, so the ignition needs to be optimized. It is on the rich side on your WOT pulls. With that said, you're not reaching 100% throttle opening when you are trying to go full throttle. On your 3-4 gear WOT pulls, the throttle plate maxed opening at 84% (Max is 101%) and your pedal was down around 70% (should be in the 90%+ for full throttle). So you need check on that, make sure you are getting the pedal to the floor on those pulls. Check to make sure there isn't anything hindering the pedal like a floormat or something.
You have the stock intake on the car? Just the S2 DP and catback with the K-Tuned muffler?
What octane fuel do you run?

Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
stock intake for now. acuity one comes next monday. i use 91 octane but could use cheveron 94. we only have 91 and 94 in canada. in the tank right now is 91. i could go do another datalog at 90-100 percent peddle if you would like. only take me a few mins
Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
yup just the alpha exhaust and 3 inch cat back to the ktune muffler. the catback used to be skunk 2 but just cut the cannon off and installed this one. car runs way better with this muffler then that cannon. more responsive and seems a bit faster but could be just me
Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
ill go get another datalog while i wait. be back in a few
Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
here is new datalog with 100 percent throttle

Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
Yeah it's definitely on the rich side, and you're right about it going WOT, so that's good.
Since you run 91, it would be best to tune it for 91. If we tune it on 94, you're sort of stuck with 94. I think you would be happy enough with it on 91 anyways.
I wouldn't be surprised if the K-Tuned muffler is better. I am more impressed with K-Tuned stuff the more I work with it, especially for the price.
Since you have the stock intake I was going to say maybe stick with an AFM tune. But if you're switching to the Acuity next week we should build a quick tune on a couple revisions for now on a MAP based tune, then use it as a base to retune it for the acuity. The Acuity and stock intake have very different characteristics. We can probably get you dialed in for the stock intake with a few revisions, then when you get the Acuity we can spend more time dialing in the tune in more detail.
Let me know what you think.

Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
im down to change a few things now if needed. up to you. if it wont hurt anything we can also wait.i just used the reflash calibration. not many choices for the 2015 si.
Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
if the power increase isnt much different from 91 to 94 then lets just stick to 91. but if there is a big power increase i dont mind doing the 94 route either. lots of cherverons. i drive 180kms a day so if you think this tune now wont do anything to car then we can leave it. all up to you. i really appreciate you helping me
Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
lets do it up with this maf based tune. i used reflash so probably going to be better either way
Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
There wouldn't be a discernible difference between 91 and 94. Especially since we don't have a dyno, and I am using the fuel tables and Virtual Dyno software to make the best decision on cam angle mapping. Even on the dyno though, the difference on a 200ish whp car won't be very noticeable. We can always do a 94 tune at the end if you want, but 91 will be fine for the bulk of your driving.
It is running fairly rich right now in WOT. I would just take a few revisions and get it close, that way you can have fun with it until you get the Acuity. The Acuity will require some substantial changes, so once you get that on you can't drive it hard right after you throw it on. Let me know when you do so we can get it cleaned up for you...
We want datalogs in the twenty minute range. Take them for normal drives, stop light to stop light type driving. Throw in one WOT pull in third gear from 2500-7600. Only do one WOT pull on this first datalog. I just want to see how everything looks. Then you can begin to have fun in the next revision.

Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
ive been reading through this forum for the last couple weeks and your the guy who i wanted to help me:P
Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
i am down to clean it up a bit now then add to it later on. do i need to do anything on my end? like do a new calibration with the maf calibration or can i leave it with the reflash calibration?
Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
how do i use your tune as well? like how do you go from this forum onto the flashpro? then into car ecu? so like how do i update the one i have now with the one you are sending
Re: can i have help with reflash and making it better
im assuming i load it onto flash then press upload to ecu?
